Supplying your content
When designing a multimedia or e-learning project, Atlantic will normally ask for a variety of content to enable us to design the solution. Here are some guidelines to ensure that we are supplied with the best quality information.

Graphics
Graphics for a project should be of the best quality available. Poor quality source material cannot be improved and detracts from the quality of a project.

Please supply graphics in any of the following formats:
Encapsulated PostScript (EPS)
PhotoShop document (PSD)
Tagged Image Format (TIFF)
High resolution JPG
High resolution BMP

Please obtain permission from individuals before their images are used in a project.

Please ensure that your company owns the copyright on any photographs supplied.

Text
We can receive scripts in any format but Microsoft Word is preferred. A single script for each module of a course if often a sensible option as different modules may be created by different authors.

We recommend that Word documents are given a version number to ensure that we are clear which is the most recent version as they are modified over time.

We normally ask that scripts should be signed off by the relevant people before we receive them to ensure that re-work is kept to a minimum.

Please ensure that your company owns the copyright on any text supplied.

Screen shots
For system training, we will need to capture screen shots from the system to be trained on. This could be a Windows application of an web-based application.

Screen shots should be captured at a resolution of either 1024x760 or 800x600 pixels. This resolution will be decided at the start of the project and it is important that we receive the correct size.

We have our own software (Capture Point) for capturing large screen sequences. This will need to be temporarily installed on your system.

Smaller screen sequences can be captured manually using the following procedure:
Display the screen to be captured
Press PrintScreen
Open Microsoft Paint and select Paste
Save the image as a 24 bit bitmap
Give the image a meaningful name (e.g. Logon1, Logon2, etc)
Use Winzip to compress the images together

Note that it is useful if we can see both plain screens, and the same screens with data entered on them. This allows us to design the interaction accurately.

The screen shots can then be emailed to Atlantic. Please never embed screen shots in a word document as this compresses them and reduces the quality.

Branding
Your company brand guidelines, font types, corporate colours, layout guidelines, etc. will be available from your marketing department. We are happy to deal directly with marketing if appropriate. Alternatively, your branding may be available on your Internet or Intranet site so you can supply us with a link.

Please supply your logo in any of the following formats:
Encapsulated PostScript (EPS)
PhotoShop document (PSD)
Tagged Image Format (TIFF)

If these aren’t available, a high resolution uncompressed format will suffice, e.g. JPG or BMP.

If your company uses a corporate font, please inform us what this is. In rare cases we may ask you to supply this as a true type font (TTF).

Development Process
Your project will usually follow our established development process below. However we will always adapt our processes to a particular project and requirements.

Sign-off stages
At certain points during production, you will be asked to sign off specific components. This ensures that we continue to deliver a project that meets your specification. In addition, sign-off stages ensure that you are kept fully informed of your project's progress.
